Agricultural Technology

Agricultural Technology (AgriTech) is comprised of the use of machinery for farming and other types of agriculture, horticulture, and aquaculture with the aim of improving yield, efficiency, and profitability. AgriTech ranges from hand tools and power tools to tractors and numerous farm equipment developed over the years as well as products, services, or applications derived from agriculture that improve various input/output processes. Although the basics of land cultivation remain unchanged, in that, it involves: sowing, growing, and harvesting; the methodology, however, has changed over the years with advancement in agricultural technology.

Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology (AT) is assistive, adaptive, and rehabilitative devices for people with disabilities or the elderly population. People who have disabilities often have difficulty performing activities of daily living (ADLs) independently, or even with assistance. ADLs are self-care activities that include toileting, mobility, eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal device care. Assistive technology promotes greater independence by enabling people to perform tasks they were formerly unable to accomplish, or had great difficulty accomplishing, by providing enhancements to, or changing methods of interacting with the technology needed to accomplish these tasks. Due to assistive technology, people with disabilities have an opportunity of a more positive and easygoing lifestyle, with an increase in socialization, security, control, and a greater chance to reduce institutional costs without significantly increasing household expenses.

Educational Technology

Educational Technology (EdTech) is the inclusive term, of the combined use of: computer hardware, software, and educational theoretical foundations and practice to facilitate learning. Educational technology creates, uses, and manages technological processes and educational resources to help improve user academic performance. Educational technology is not restricted to high technology but is anything that enhances classroom learning in the utilization of face to face, online or blended (hybrid) learning. EdTech emerges from various disciplines such as: communication, education, psychology, sociology, artificial intelligence, and computer science.

Information Technology

Information Technology (IT) is the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems; particularly software applications and computer hardware. IT workers help ensure that computers (essentially anything with a power source, hard drive, and processor) work well for people. Information Technology (IT) has become an indispensable and integral part of modern life.

Medical Technology

Medical Technology (Medical Tech) is defined as the application of organized knowledge and skills in the form of: devices, medications, vaccines, procedures, and systems developed to solve a health problem and improve the quality of lives. This includes: pharmaceuticals, devices, procedures, and organizational systems used in the healthcare industry, as well as computer-supported information systems.

Space Technology

Space Technology (Space Tech) is technology developed by space science or the aerospace industry for use in: spaceflight, satellites, or space exploration. Space Technology includes: spacecraft, satellites, space stations, and support infrastructure, equipment, and procedures and space warfare. Space is such a vast environment that attempting to work in it requires new tools and techniques.
